Located under the arcades of the eponymous square in the seventeenth-century palace of the Turinetti di Priero, it is one of the city’s oldest coffeehouses with a rich tradition.

After a period of closure for renovation, it reopened its doors as part of the Gallerie d’Italia project by Intesa San Paolo, which has given Turin a glimpse into its glorious past steeped in history and tradition with a projection towards the future.

Together with the restaurant Scatto, Caffè San Carlo is also under the visionary guidance of the Costardi Bros, embodying the dual spirit of a café and bistro.

The bistro dishes, which can be savored in the main hall or in the more private side room, speak of Piedmontese tradition, expertly interpreted and realized by the kitchen team.

For the aperitif, the focus is on the historicity of products and the offering of classic cocktails. A varied selection of desserts, starting from croissants and ending with the Veneziana, a soft dough and glaze of the classic panettone made unique by the crunchy almonds from Noto, the Bignè with craquelin, bursting with the green of candied and semi-sandy lemon peel covering a heart of pistachio and bergamot.

The menu is completed with a savory proposal with an international scope, with particular attention to eggs and their infinite variations.

The venue is open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering guests a varied and complete proposal, spanning all moments of the day.
