The Fondazione Cesare Pavese proposes allowing, facilitating and promoting the circulation, appreciation and study of Cesare Pavese’s literary works nationally and internationally, along with the promotion of Pavese places. His place of birth, where his par-ents spent their summer holidays, is a little out of the way, on the ‘avenue’ to Canelli. The architecture of the house, which no longer has its original garden, differs from the traditional country house, already marked by a provincial lower middle class taste transplanted to the city.
