In an ancient 17th-century monastery, after four years of meticulous conservative restoration that preserved and brought to light its historic architectural heritage, Relais San Maurizio came to life in 2002. It quickly became a landmark for refined hospitality and culinary experimentation, while remaining a guardian of centuries-old traditions. The rooms and suites are located in the former monastic cells, the original sacristy, and the historic stables. The SPA features an indoor pool, a panoramic terrace overlooking the vineyards, thalassotherapy caves with a Kneipp path, saunas, and a hammam. A key element of the relais is the restaurant Guido da Costigliole, originally opened in 1961 by Guido Alciati and his wife Lidia. The restaurant houses around 35,000 bottles in its two wine cellars. The cuisine is typically Piedmontese, reinterpreted in a modern way.
