The Cattolica Aquarium is located inside buildings dating back to the 1930s, whose design evokes a naval fleet. The careful restoration, completed in June 2000 under the supervision of the Superintendence for Environmental and Architectural Heritage, has restored the buildings to their former glory and enhanced the entire area, rich in history and maritime traditions. With over 100 display tanks, Sharks, Penguins, Turtles, and Jellyfish are just a few of the many protagonists of this exciting journey. The Aquarium spans an area of 110,000 square meters, overlooking the sea, perfectly integrated into the urban fabric of Cattolica and equipped with ample parking. In the large green spaces, which are freely accessible as a public park (over 49,000 square meters), visitors can enjoy the following services: relaxation areas, adjacent beach, dining, bars, themed shops, equipped green areas, children’s entertainment, shows, exhibitions, and cultural, congress, and sports events.
