ANTICA HOSTARIA DELLA LANTERNA

This restaurant goes by two names: its official name, Antica Hostaria della Lanterna, and
its unofficial name “La sciura” (lit. the classy lady). Because this place is all about its owner,
Paola, and her spirit, the sort of classy lady that’s hard to find these days. The menu is
inspired by Friulian-Lombard tradition, with classics including gorgonzola dumplings with
pistachio pesto, sausage rigatoni and saffron spaghetti with ham. The meat and fish courses
are excellent too, and you can’t say goodnight without trying the tiramisu or panna cotta.
