The exhibition depicts masterpieces by Antonio Canova , the greatest exponent of Neoclassicism , from various institutions. In the heritage of drawings purchased by Carlo Alberto for his personal chamber of wonders, there are also 5 sheets by the Venetian . Based on these masterpieces owned by the Royal Library , in fact , born this exhibition which, for the first time shown together , in Turin , the designs of the Royal Library with drawings , sculptures and paintings from the Civic Museum of Bassano del Grappa , the Galleria of Modern Art in Turin and from a private collection.The library preserves around 200.000 volumes 4.500 manuscripts 3.055 sketches, 187 incunabolis 5.019 cinquecentines 1.500 parchments 1.112 periodicals, 400 photographic albums, maps, incisions and presses.
