Milan’s 1929 Liberty Station has been renovated and transformed into an exclusive new restaurant, La Bullona, with old-hand and entrepreneur Pino Scalise The restaurant certainly makes an impression, with a large chandelier that dangles over one of the dining areas, a 10-by-3-metre structure made from iron and glass that draws inspiration from the geometry of the original large windows. Dividing the two dining areas are two spectacular counters, one dedicated to the bar and the other to raw fish and shellfish, all of which is served up straight from the counter. The restaurant seats around 150 diners and serves a menu consisting exclusively of raw and cooked fish, including seafood and shellfish platters, gourmet bruschetta and first courses made with artisan pasta.
