ESSAOUIRA LOUNGE BEACH

Its inlaid iron door seems to come from a Moroccan palace, along with the palms, tents, carpets, lamps, divans and colourful cushions: it is called Essaouira Beach Lounge, which has brought a bit of Morocco and Kenya to the beaches of Liguria. After a day of stretching out in the sun on the Kenyan matrimonial divans, Essaouira Beach is especially lively at night: after the aperitif served under the Berber tents of the beach terrace, it’s time to hit the restaurant, where clearly the fish is the specialty of the house. The restaurant is furnished with tables made of majolica mosaics and wood and large Moroccan lamps in metal and coloured glass. On weekends at Essaouira, there is dancing on the tables to the rhythm of house music with the sabrage of champagne. New this year is the board service, a true service provided to boats, delivering lunch “at home.”
