Ettore Sottsass THERE IS A PLANET

On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Ettore Sottsass (Innsbruck 1917 – Milan 2007), Triennale Design Museum presents in the spaces of the Gallery of Architecture a monographic exhibition dedicated to him, accompanied by a book and a catalog.The title of the exhibition, and the book, There is a Planet, is a project of Sottsass early 90s for the German publisher Wasmuth, never realized. The project of the book, now published by Electa, gathered in five groups, with five different titles and as many texts, photographs taken by Sottsass during his travels around the world: photos of architecture, houses, doors, people, situations concerning the ‘inhabiting and in general the presence of man on the planet
