La Passione This exhibition opens with La Via al Calvario, a work of art that has just been bequeathed to the Diocesan Museum of Milan’s collection. Not yet exhibited to the public, this piece is accompanied by a second original version of the same subject taken from the Fondazione Cassa Di Risparmio Di Tortona. The entirety of Via Crucis, created between 1901 and 1902, will also be on display, having recently been restored, thanks to the Vatican Museums Collection of Contemporary Art. The large Via Crucis canvases come from the Vatican (155x120cm per canvas) and were exhibited by the artist from Ferrara at the I Quadriennale di Torino in 1902 and, after arriving at the Vatican, were hung in the papal apartments for many years.
