From 4 August to 18 October the exhibition ‘Il collezionismo di dante in casa Trivulzio’ describes the collecting and philological passion bestowed by the Casa Trivulzio in nineteenth-century Milan on one of the most important literary authors of all time: Dante Alighieri. On the occasion of EXPO 2015, the exhibition offers visitors the extraordinary chance to appreciate some of the most famous works by the supreme poet through ancient manuscript and printed examples from the rich Dantesque wealth collected by Gian Giacomo Trivulzio and his heirs during the nineteenth century, now held at the Archivio Storico Civico and the Biblioteca Trivulziana at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan.
