Il Quadro Arcimboldo ispira la mascotte dell’EXPO 2015

The new face of EXPO is representative of the composition heads of the the artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo, whose works have inspired the Disney creation. “L’Ortolano” by Arcimboldo, work of art which has inspired the mascots of EXPO 2015, will be displayed providing it is exhibited during the first four months of the event in Milan. The painting will be under the custody of the Pinacoteca in the city of Torrazzo. The mascots represent one of the three steps of communicative support that is to transmit the purpose of the exhibition. For this reason, it is made up of a family of 11 elements, each one with different charateristics and features, which react like real personalities. Assembled to represent a single face, representing the ideal synergy of countries of the world summoned to respond with energy and positivity to challenges regarding food on our planet. Identifying itself as one true family, symbolic, friendly and dynamic.
