Necci dal 1924 is as store that is as “autarchic” as it comes in its produce: from its croissants and bread to its ice-cream, from its pasta and gnocchi to its pies, everything is made in its kitchens. All ingredients used are strictly organic and mostly locally-grown, from Lazio and other central Italian regions. As far the cuisine goes, chef Ben defines it all Italian, from top to toe. His ambition is to cook up the traditional restaurant dishes that restaurants no longer serve. The store also has a very precise philosophy: it sells all the ingredients necessary to make some of its specialties yourself. More than a food shop, it’s a delicatessen.
